My Journey

I’ve always been fascinated by entrepreneurship. I started my first company at 14, long before I understood venture capital, growth hacking, or scaling teams. That early spark grew into a lifelong drive to create. After moving from London to the U.S., I co-founded Vungle, an ad tech startup that became one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry.

As CEO, I led Vungle from a small idea into a global business with $400M+ in revenue, 250 employees, and offices in 8 countries. We raised $25M from investors like Google and AOL before selling to Blackstone for $780M in 2019. That journey taught me how to scale, adapt, and lead at every stage, from scrappy beginnings to global expansion.

Beyond Vungle

After exiting Vungle, I turned my focus to investing. Through Blue Field Capital and my family office, Zain Ventures, I’ve invested in more than 22 startups across industries such as PropTech, AI, and consumer tech. I’ve also expanded into real estate, private equity, and global markets, diversifying my portfolio while supporting founders tackling big problems.

Recognition & Media

Along the way, I’ve been honored with awards such as Forbes 30 Under 30, Inc. Magazine’s 35 Under 35, and the SF Business Times Tech & Innovation Award. My work has been featured in Mashable’s “Behind the Launch” series, CNBC’s Squawk Box, and even profiled in business books like Unleashing the Innovators.

I also write and speak about entrepreneurship, appearing in publications such as Home Business Magazine, MediaPost, and Supply Chain Brain. I’ve lectured at universities around the world, from Berkeley in the U.S. to IIT in India and UCL in the UK.

Giving Back

Through the Zain Jaffer Foundation, I channel my passion for philanthropy into creating documentaries and supporting causes that address global poverty, education, and environmental sustainability. This work builds on my early projects in the Philippines, where I helped grow a sustainable jewelry business and partnered with NGOs to build schools.

What’s Next

Today, I’m back in the founder’s seat, working on a new startup at the intersection of technology, growth, and impact. While I’m no longer actively investing in new companies, I continue to support my portfolio founders and pursue projects that push industries forward.

At my core, I’m still the same builder who started at 14, restless, curious, and driven to turn ideas into reality.
